If we have enough scouts interested, we will go camping as planned this coming weekend at Smyrna Air Base. We'll take the canoes along and do some fishing. If you can't make the meeting, but want to camp, let me know by email. We'll meet at 5 PM on Friday at the Eagle's Nest. More details to follow.
Mr. Wiser tells me we cleared about $900 on the 4th of July. Many thanks for all you who turned out - by the way, the desserts were fantastic as usual!

Aug 1-3 BSA Whitewater paddling clinic at the Hiwassee. One of our scouts had to drop out, so we have a kayak or canoe slot we need to fill. You must have canoeing merit badge to sign up for a kayak. Let me know if you are interested.
Aug 8-10 Fall Order of the Arrow Ordeal
August 15-17 Troop Whitewater Weekend at the Hiwassee River. Families are invited to come camp. Scouts will use BSA canoes and kayaks; first year scouts and all non-scouts will rent equipment (Sit-on-Top Kayaks, inflatable kayaks and rafts) from a local outfitter.
