NEAL MCCLATCHY NEEDS HELP FOR EAGLE SERVICE PROJECT
I will be having a work day this Saturday, September 6th, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Belle Aire Baptist Church in the gravel parking lot. We will be constructing the deck and ramp. I have organized the volunteers into separate teams. There will be a deck team, a ramp team, a materials/cleanup team, a food team, and a photography team. Each team will be led by a boy scout and will be supported by an adult. I am meeting with each of the team leaders before Saturday to give them specific instructions. The adult leaders are coming early so i can give them instructions. The ramp and deck teams will do the construction work. The food team will provide lunch and distribute water during the construction (we plan to label the water bottles so everyone knows where their water is and they don't waste them). The materials and cleanup team will take materials to the ramp and deck teams and will pick up scraps and any other waste. They will also gather the plastic water bottles for recycling and clean up after we eat. Contact Neal at neal225@comcast.net or call 890-6419 for more info.
NEW UNIFORMS
The Boy Scouts of America has rolled out a new uniform. (Hopefully, the new shirt won't shrink around the stomach the way the old one does!) We are authorized to wear the old uniform as long as it lasts, so you are not expected to run out and buy a new one right away.
