LASER TAG
Laser Tag is this Friday, Feb. 18th. We will meet at the Eagle’s Nest at 9:30 PM. Bring extra money for sodas and arcade games. The cost will be about $35 for unlimited games between 12 midnight and 6:00 AM. The cost includes pizza. You are not required to wear Class A uniforms – wear a shirt that will not glow under UV light. Guests are welcome. Guests will need to have a parent sign a permission form (attached). Bring it when you come on Friday night. We will return to St. Marks by 7:00 PM.
We need a minimum of 30 signed up to get this price. We are still five people short to make the 30. PLEASE EMAIL ME ASAP IF YOU WANT TO GO BUT HAVE NOT SIGNED UP! Both St. Mark’s vans are reserved. Brett Barrett and Ed Honey will drive the vans but we will probably need a couple of more adults to drive cars also.
Scout Sunday
Many thanks to those who showed up for services at St. Marks. We hada good turn out at both services thanks to those hardy souls who attended both services. We received some very nice compliments from members of the congregation.
Super Bowl Bar-B-Q
We still have some pound packages of pork and turkey remaining as well as two whole turkey breasts. They are available at a reduced price.
Trail of Tears Volunteer Recognition Banquet
The Banquet is scheduled for Saturday, March 5th at Blackman United Methodist Church. All adult leaders are encouraged to attend and enjoy the food and fellowship. Plan to arrive by 6:30 PM. The meal will be served at 7:00 PM.
The menu is grilled O’Charley’s steak with shrimp, smashed potatoes, salad, rolls and a dessert – all for only $10 per person. Forms are on the bulletin board. Mail it in by Feb 23rd.
Equipment Orders
If anyone wants to order anything from Campmor, Mr. Warren will be placing a troop order this week. No sales tax plus 10 percent of the on-line price. Send Mr. Warren an email with the information this week.
Troop Planning Meeting – February 21st
Next Monday night, Feb. 21st will be a planning meeting. PLC at 7:00 PM. Only Troop Leaders need attend.
OA Elections
Order of the Arrow elections will be held at the troop meeting on Monday, Feb. 28th. Scouts who are First Class and have 15 nights camping in the last two years will be eligible. A list is posted on the bulletin board. Questions, see Mr. Warren.
Troop Elections
Troop elections for Senior Patrol Leader and Patrol Leaders will be held on March 7th.
Troop Court of Honor & Summer Camp Information night
A troop Court of honor will be held on Monday, March 14th. After the Court of Honor, we will show the new Camp Boxwell video. Summer Camp will be from June 12th to June 18th. The fee is discounted ($185) if you register by March 28th and pay a $25 deposit. Regular fee after March 28th is $205. See Mr. Ervin as early as possible so he can get you registered for the classes you want to take – this will give you the best chance of getting your first choices of classes. We will answer all questions on March 14th, so plan to be there.
March Campout
Our March campout is scheduled for March 18 – 20. We will camp at Boxwell Reservation at Camp Beany Elam. We have reserved the Cope Rappelling Tower for Sat afternoon and Sunday morning. Fishing will also be available in the Wood Badge Pond.
