Troop Recharter Time
We have well over 100 scouts and adults to register. Please don’t make this any harder on our highly paid (ha,ha) staff than it needs to be. If you fail to reregister in time, you will have to fill out a new registration form. Please see Ms. Paxton and let her know if you plan to register for the next year. Make sure we have your correct contact information. You will also need to check in with Mr. Holtman and pay your dues and registration fees. Youth and adult registration and Insurance is $16. If you want Boy’s Life, it is another $12. Troop annual dues are $50. You can pay from your Scout Account if you have enough in it.

Adults remember you must have completed Youth Protection Training within the last two years to register.

Missing Keys

For convenience, we have a key safe in the breezeway at the Eagle’s Nest. There are two keys; one for the Eagle’s Nest and one for the restroom. Both are missing! If you have them, please return them to Mr. Warren!

Eagle Projects
Here is a message from David Reagan:
I have the mulch I need for my project. I am planning to work this Saturday. I wanted to work in the morning, but I have band practice Saturday morning so I’m going to start at 2pm at Bradley Academy. I will be moving and spreading the mulch so anybody with tools to do that should bring them, and I also need several wheel barrows. If anybody has questions or needs directions then they can contact me at (615)785-4929.
Troop Court of Honor
TheTroop Court of Honor will be Aug 22nd in the Main Church Worship Center at 7:00 PM

September Campout
Our next troop campout will be September 9 – 11. We now plan to camp at Montgomery Bell State Park. We have a number of scouts who need to pass off some requirements for Tenderfoot, Second Class and First Class. This is a great place to pass off most of the requirements, especially cooking, land navigation and hiking. For older scouts, we’ll take our canoes and you can enjoy paddling and fishing on the lake.

Service Opportunity
If you need service hours, or just want to help out, here’s a request from Murfreesboro City Schools:
You were referred to us as a contact for scout volunteers. The Murfreesboro City Schools is having a Back To School Bash on Saturday, Aug. 27th at Cannonsburg from 10-2p.m.

We could certainly use volunteers to assist with setup at 9:00a.m. and breakdown
at 1:30p.m. Please let me know if this is a possibility. I look forward to hearing back from you.
Thanks,
